I just saw Dear Wendy last night, directed by Winterberg and written by Von Trier.
SO GREAT.
Once again it shows that cinema is not dead. Great idea by Von Trier and SUPPURB execution from Winterberg (he was the other main Dogma guy and directed The Celebration.)
I guess most y'all have some time to wait before you see it. It kicks ass though.

Re: Dear Wendy
Tue, July 5, 2005 - 10:19 PMOoh, thanks for the heads-up! Didn't know there was some more to feed my Von Trier addiction so soon... IMDB says September for USA release.
Yay! (this reminds me, I've gotta re-watch Dogville sometime soon)

Re: Dear Wendy
Tue, August 30, 2005 - 2:09 AMLiving in the home country of Von Trier and Vinterberg I got to see Dear Wendy six months ago. The reviews here were very mixed. Some loved it, some were very disapointed. Personally I was in love and felt my blood pumping double speed through my body and brain.
For me it was like one of those children's shows where a group of halft cool half geeky outsider kids for this heoric gang that solves crime mysteries. Those shows of course went on for years without any development. Dear Wendy is then the both joyfull and painfull verison of what happens when puberty sets in and heroic gangs from the childrens shows suddenly stand up for themselves against the adults - willing to sacrifice whatever it takes.
